It is Japanese printed Tenugui, selected by akaihana. The pattern is Kame which means turtles. It is printed in special way, so that you can see the patterns in back side of fabric (not 100% like dyed ones though) instead of white blank color. It is made in Japan. Packaging might be different from these photos.

If you don't need paper sleeves for your tenugui to have less waste, please leave the note on your order about it. Thank you very much in advance!

Tenugui is 100% cotton multipurpose materials, people in Japan use Tenugui as a hand towel, dish towel, handkerchief, wrapping, or materials for sewing and crafting. Whatever however you want, it's up to you! This Tenugui is made in Japan. It has selvages on both sides, and both ends of Tenugui are not finished. The hems are left unfinished because it dries faster since the water doesn't collect on a hem after washing. It will fray for a while, you can cut the string that came off, and eventually it should stop fraying maybe up to 1/4 - 1/3 inches or so. Some of Tenugui might be discolored the first time you wash them, so please be careful for the first few times when you wash them. :-)

*Each piece may look slightly different depending on the pattern of the fabric.
**I do my best to make photos look true to color, but, colors may vary depending on the screen setting, monitor and/or browser.
***The packaging might be different from ones in photo.

Size: about 13" x 35 1/2" (about 33cm x 90cm)
Care: washer machine (cold/cool water is the best because of hand dyed), Air dry please, and iron medium/high if you desire. :-) It might discolor for the first few times of laundry, so please be careful about what to wash with.
